Ingredients
1 t. grant, hwwk11b 2 cup cheddar cheese, finely grated (8 oz, ) 1/2 cup butter, soft 1/2 tsp salt (optional) 1 dash cayenne 2 tbsp chives, finely chopped 1 1/2 cup flour

Preparation
Combine cheese, butter, salt, cayenne and chives. Add flour and mix until a smooth dough forms. Divide dough in half and shape each half into a log, about 1" in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill at least 1 hour. Slice into 1/8" slices and bake on lightly greased sheets at 350 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 48 slices. T. Grant, HWWK11b
