Creamy Chicken & Mushrooms Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

2 tbsp margarine
4 chicken breast halves skinless, bon, eless
1 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1 small onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced -or-
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 can cream of mushroom soup campbell's (, 10 3/4 oz can
1/2 cup milk
1/8 tsp pepper
4 cup hot cooked noodles

Recipe Preparation

1. In large skillet over medium-high heat, heat one tablespoon
margarine. Add chicken; cook 10 minutes or until browned. Remove.

2. Reduce heat to medium. In remaining margarine cook mushrooms and
onion with garlic until onion is tender and liquid has evaporated,
stirring often.

3. Stir in soup, milk and pepper; heat to boiling.

4. Return chicken to skillet. Cover; cook over low heat 5 minutes or
until chicken is no longer pink, stirring often.

5. Serve with noodles.

Serves 4.

At the start of a diet, people most certainly look at food store and big brand food items labelled 'low in fat'. To do this is far too often a miscalculation, in that an item could be significantly reduced in fats, but nevertheless elavated in calories and carbs.
Some low carb diet guidlines:

Admittedly, you can't really describe it as cooking, but if you must have smoothies you can make them with reduced carbohydrate yogurt and fruit. * Understand the food labels Watch out for the food label that proclaims 'low carb' - check the actual nutritional information on the reverse of the tin or package. A good number of are only marginally decreased and in some instances still higher than a competitors standard brand. Also, beware of 'low sugar' and 'low fat' labels - 'low sugar' does not always mean 'low carb' - usually the carbs are identically the same.

The nutrients known as flavonoids discovered in these types of food are thought to have properties in preventing cancer.
Experts investigating the medical effects of flavonoids think they also have most other health benefits, including antiviral and antioxidant properties.
Most are also good for weight loss, so you should add them to your diet system.
