Scotch Eggs Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

4 each hard cooked eggs
1/2 lb sausage meat
1 each egg, slightly beaten
1 fat or oil for frying
1 seasoned flour
1 bread crumbs
1 salt & pepper to taste

Recipe Preparation

Hard-boil the eggs by placing in a pan of cold water and heating
slowly until it starts to simmer. Do not allow water to boil as this
will toughen the whites, but keep at this temperature for 30 minutes.
Place in cold water and shell when eggs are quite cold. Dip in
seasoned flour. Cover with sausage meat, then dip in beaten egg and
coat with bread crumbs, pressing crumbs well in. Fry in deep fat or
oil (375 deg. F.) until golden brown. Drain, and cut in halves. Serve
hot or cold.

Food Tips of the Week

Advice on losing weight

If you enjoy your food, but want to become thin and also improve your overall physical condition, then, as most people know, you should follow a meticulously prepared wholesome dietary regime. Theoretically, this needs to involve 5 standard portions of grains, cereals and vegetables every day and also contain the optimum fusion of important nutrients.
The case against reduced carbohydrate diets
Its popular as hell, but it is truly safe and healthy for you?
The majority of the negative side effects stated, such as tiredness, bowel disorders, or headaches seem to pass quickly, but critics contend that low carb diets are not without permanently harmful side effects.
Remember, one point that is usually overlooked, it is damned hard (though by no means impossible) for vegetarians to adopt a reduced carb diet.
Foods high in flavonoids
(inlcudes lettuce, kale, kidney bean and chamomile)

The compounds known as flavonoids which exist in these fruits and vegetables are believed to be good in helping to prevent cancer.
Nutritionalists researching the medical effects of flavonoids believe that they may well also have numerous other health benefits, including, but not limited to, anti-asthma and antiplatelet activities..
A good number are also good for weight loss, so should be included in every weight loss program.
