Aloo Matar Rasedaar Recipe
5 tbsp ghee
1 medium onion, chopped
2 each garlic cloves, chopped
2 each cloves
2 each bay leaves
1 each 1 inch cinnamon stick
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp coriander
2 each tomatoes, quartered
1 salt to taste
2 medium potatoes, cubed
1/2 cup green peas
1 1/4 cup water
1 chopped cilantro
Heat ghee & saute onion & garlic over medium heat till golden. Add
cloves, bay leaves & cinnamon. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
Add garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, coriander, tomatoes & salt.
Mix well. Add potatoes & peas. Pour in water & bring to a boil.
Lower heat, cover the pan & simmer gently for 15 minutes, or until the
potatoes are done.
Garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot.

In planning a meal plan, the important thing is to try to cut down your ingestion of fat, salt and refined carbohydrates.

* Use reduced carbohydrate chocolate bars for cookies and muffins.
If you have converted your tasty chocolate cookie or muffins recipe using soya flour, it would be crazy to put in those high carbohydrate normal chocolate. Cut up a low carb bar of chocolate into tiny pieces and use that in its place.

Most low carbohydrate recipes are, not surprisingly, low in carbs. We all need energy, and carbs are a very efficient source of energy. A low carbohydrate diet requires great care in controlling your intake of energy, as any energy contributed by fat or protein is much slower acting.

The nutrients called 'flavonoids' which exist in these fruits and vegetables are believed to have properties in fighting cancer.
Experts studying the nutritional effects of flavonoids think that they may well also have many other benefits to our wellbeing, amongst them, anti-candida and antitumor properties.
The majority of these are low in calories, so should be included in your weight loss regime.
