Asparagus Casserole Recipe
2 cup asparagus, fresh, 2 lengths
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 can french fried onion ring, 3oz
Butter a casserole dish. Put a layer of asparagus on bottom then add
soup. Next add mushrooms and half the cheese. Add second layer of
asparagus and end with a layer of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30
minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle onion rings on top and return to
oven for 5 minutes more.

Recognise the difference between hunger and thirst. At times when going through a hectic day, you imagine you feel hunger but if truth be told you just need a restorative tumbler of water or cranberry juice. The feelings of hunger and thirst are quite alike, but one can result in weight gain and the alternative is fine.

Admittedly, you can't really describe it as cooking, but if you must have smoothies you can make them with reduced carbohydrate yogurt and fruit. Of course, you will need to make sure you use fruit that is low in carbs and use the whole fruit as the fiber is important too.
* Understand the food labels
Watch out for the food label that proclaims 'low carb' - check the actual nutritional information on the reverse of the tin or package. A good number of are only marginally decreased and in some instances still higher than a competitors standard brand. Also, beware of 'low sugar' and 'low fat' labels - 'low sugar' does not always mean 'low carb' - usually the carbs are identically the same.
