Smoked Salmon Rolls Recipe
2 large thin slices of
1/2 tbsp smoked-salmon cream cheese
1 finely chopped green onion
Remove crusts from pumpernickle. Cover each slice with smoked-salmon
cream cheese. Sprinkle with green onion. Starting at long side,
tightly roll up 1 slice into a log. Then, wrap remaining slice around
first roll, matching seams. Cover snugly with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Slice into 1/2-inch
rounds. Each roll makes 8 pieces.

Food Tips of the Week
Dieting made easy
When deciding on a weight loss program, it is essential to try to restrict your intake of salt, fat and refined carbohydrate.
The problems associated with reduced carbohydrate diets
Its popular as hell, but it is truly safe and healthy for you?
Cutting out carbohydrates might mean missing out on vital nutrients from healthy carbohydrate foods which must be part of any well-balanced diet, especially those that we get from grains, vegetables and fruits.
Eating more animal-based products could lead into elevated consumption of saturated fat and cholesterol, which a few authorities believe will increase the risk of heart problems.
Lycopene super foods
(includes apricot, papaya & baby jackfruit)
The phytochemical lycopene is a non-synthetic compound used to color foods and member of the same group of phytochemicals as carotene. This chemical is accountable for the deep red colour of quite a few natural foods.
Fortunately, unlike numerous nutrients, it does not become less effective if cooked but is genuinely improved by the cooking process.
Its most valuable health contribution is that it works as an antioxidant and appears to help lower the risks of cancer.
Lycopene is the most powerful carotenoid quencher of singlet oxygen, which is correlated with aging of the skin. It's also believed to curtail the development of diseases affecting arterial blood vessels.
