10 oz lean ground turkey 1 1/2 oz crumbled blue cheese 2 tsp los sod. dijon mustard 1 cup lettuce leaves 1 cup scallions, chopped 3 tbsp dried bread crumbs 1/8 tsp ground pepper 4 1 oz pitas, split and tsted

Preparation
Spray broiler rack w/ nonstic Pam, preheat. In med. bow. combine all ingred. except lettuce and pitas;shape evenly into 4 patties. Place patties on prepared rack;broil 10 minutes. turning once until meat is cooked through. To serve arrange lettuce and burgers in toasted pitas. Each serving: 2 1/2P, 1 V, 1 B 20 opt. cal. Watch out for sales blurb that boasts 'low carb' - check the nutritional information on the back of the product. In addition, beware of 'low sugar' and 'low fat' labels - 'low sugar' doesn't always mean 'low carb' - often the carbs are identical.
* You can create really good smoothies with reduced carbohydrate yogurt.
Ok, well, it’s not technically cooking, but if you really want smoothies you can make them with low carb yogurt and fruit. Obviously, you will need to ensure you use only fruit that is low in carbohydrates and use the whole fruit as the fiber will help.

Foods containing allyl sulfides also have a low calorie count, so you should add them to your diet system.
