Food Tips of the Week

Dieting made easy

One useful tip is to drink plenty of water. From time to time at some stage in a hectic morning, you guess that you want a snack but in fact you might just need a refreshing glass of water or orange squash. The feelings of needing food and needing a drink are quite similar, but one of the two can lead to a broken diet and the other is ok.
The case against reduced carb diets
Its popular as hell, but it is truly safe and healthy for you?
Eating more animal-based products could lead into increased consumption of saturated fat and cholesterol, which a good number of authorities believe will increase the chance of heart conditions.
Even though there is some research that illustrates that low carb diets may help elimate surplus fat, some of this evidence has resulted in many arguments between nutritionalists, and their safety record has been challenged
Foods containing carotenes
(includes paprika, turnip greens and tomato puree)
These colorful plants have high levels of carotenes (alpha and beta) believed by scientists to play a role in helping stop cancer, spefically cancer of the lungs. The majority of these are also low in calories, so you should add them to your weight loss program.
