Food Tips of the Week
Dieting made easy
One useful tip is to drink plenty of water. From time to time at some stage in a hectic morning, you guess that you want a snack but in fact you might just need a refreshing glass of water or orange squash. The feelings of needing food and needing a drink are quite similar, but one of the two can lead to a broken diet and the other is ok.
The case against low carb diets
Its popular as hell, but it is really safe for you?
Many studies over the last few years have shown that eating too much animal fat causes increased risk of cancer, heart conditions and other serious illnesses.
Elevated consumption of animal-based products might lead into elevated consumption of saturated fat and cholesterol, which many authorities believe will increase the probability of coronary disease.
Foods high in flavonoids
(inlcudes lettuce, kale, kidney bean and chamomile)
The compounds known as flavonoids which exist in these fruits and vegetables are believed to be good in helping to prevent cancer.
Nutritionalists researching the medical effects of flavonoids believe that they may well also have numerous other health benefits, including, but not limited to, anti-asthma and antiplatelet activities..
A good number are also good for weight loss, so should be included in every weight loss program.
