Apple & Banana Aside Recipe
2 bananas, peeled and sliced
2 apples, peeled, cored and - cut in, slices
1 juice of half a lemon
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
Note: Use about 1 banana and 1 apple for each two diners to increase
recipe. Do not decrease.
In a buttered casserole, arrange a layer of apple slices and banana
slices. Drizzle with lemon juice, dot with butter and sprinkle with a
little sugar. Make another layer of fruit.
Cream together (until crumbly) the topping ingredients; sprinkle over
Bake at 325 F. for 30-40 minutes.
Nice side dish to meal or as a dessert with vanilla ice cream.

Drink more water. At times during a hectic day, you guess you are peckish but in truth you might only want a restorative glass of water or cranberry juice. The sensations of needing food and needing a drink are close, but one can result in a fat tummy and the alternative is ok.

Be sceptical of food labeling that boasts 'low carb' - check the nutritional information figures on the reverse of the tin or package. Many are only slightly less and in some cases still more than a competitors usual brand. Also, beware of 'low sugar' and 'low fat' labels - 'low sugar' doesn't always mean 'low carb' - usually the carbs are exactly the same.
