Kevin's Veggie Chili Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup soybeans
1 cup wheat berries
6 cup water
1 or 2 medium onions, chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
1 red pepper, diced
1 jalapeno, diced
2 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp oregano
1 cl garlic, minced
4 tomatoes, diced

Recipe Preparation

Soak the beans and berries overnight. Drain. Bring
water to a boil, add beans and berries and reduce
heat. Saute onions and peppers in oil until
translucent. Add spices annd tomatoes, simmer
briefly, then add to beans and berries.
Cook until beans are soft, about one or two hours.
This chili is more delicious a day or two after
preparation.

Dieting made easy

When deciding on a weight loss program, it is essential to try to restrict your intake of salt, fat and refined carbohydrate.
Some lower carb diet guidlines:
* Use reduced carbohydrate chocolate bars for cookies and muffins. Fortunately, unlike numerous healthy agents, this useful phytochemical does not become less effective if heated during cooking, but is noticeably enhanced by being cooked.

. Its most interesting nutritional contribution is that it behaves as an antioxidant and appears to help lower the risk of cancer.

Lycopene is the most potent fighter of singlet oxygen, which is correlated with skin aging. It is also thought to prevent the progression of atherosclerosis.
