Sour Cream Chili Bake Recipe
1 lb ground beef -- or ground
1/4 cup chopped onion -- (opt.)
16 oz can kidney beans -- drained
15 oz can tomato sauce
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 (1-1/4 oz.)
4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded --
1 (1 cup) or more
3 1/2 cup corn chips
1 1/4 cup sour cream
In a large skillet, cook ground beef & onion until meat is browned &
onion is tender. Then drain. Stir in beans, tomatoe sauce, taco
seasoning mix, & 3/4 c cheese. Sprinkle 2-1/2 c corn chips in bottom
of 8x8x2 inch baking dish. Cover chips w/beef mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Spread sour cream over chili.
Top with remaining corn chips and cheese. Bake 3 to 4 minutes longer.
Serves 6 to 8 people.
NOTES: Here's a recipe, given to me from my sister in N.J.,years ago,
and it's very easy to make and tasty too. Since my six-year-old
daughter asked me to make this dish again, days ago, I made it for
this evenings dinner. She's crazy about taco's and corn chips so
that's why this dish is one of her favorites. :)

Advice on losing weight
Make sure that you drink enough fluids. Sometimes at some stage in a hectic work day, you feel you need food when in truth you may need a refreshing glass of water or cranberry juice. * Make low carb bread crumbs for deep fried or oven baked foods.
While you may be able to buy reduced carb bread crumbs, you may make them at home by simply using reduced carbohydrate bread. Simply toast the reduced carbohydrate bread in a gas or electric oven on a baking tray. Once it is well browned, process it in your blender. Keep in a tupperware jar or container.
* Use soya flour or baking mix.
When you require flour for baked goods, substitute soy flour or a soya baking mix such as Atkins soy baking mix. In most cases, you may adapt your most popular recipes that use standard wheat flour to use these alternatives.
Superfoods rich in flavonoids
(inlcudes garlic, fennel, kidney bean & peppermint)
The nutrients known as flavonoids which exist in these natural foods are believed to have properties as anti-carcinogens.
Nutritionalists looking into the medical effects of flavonoids think they may well have most other health giving capabilities, including anti-dermatitis and antiplatelet properties.
The majority of these are also low in calories, so should be included in every diet.
