Tempeh Sandwich Recipe
Recipe
Ingredients
1 piece tempeh -- about the 1 size of a 1 oil 1 tsp soy sauce 1 chopped onions and 1 mushrooms 2 slice bread 1 mayo or the equivalent 1 tomato slices/other raw 1 veggies as desired
Recipe
Preparation
1. (I usually use 2 pans (because I add an egg) but you can make this with one.) Heat oil in pans, saute onions and mushrooms, put aside when done.
2. Fry tempeh on both sides. When nearly done, add a teaspoon or so of soy sauce to each side and turn over to cook (it will splatter).
3. While this is all cooking (and try to time it to all come out at the same time), toast your bread and spread liberally with mayo (any variety), spaghetti sauce or something gooey.
4. Construct a sandwich with bread, tempeh, tomato, onion/mushroom mixture, and other veggies (optional). Serve hot.
Author's Notes: Here is one of my favorite recipes that use tempeh.
For an incredibly messy (and non-vegan) option, try adding a runny fried egg to the sandwich stack. [BTW, it's messy even without the egg - cut sandwich in half for easier eating]. Tempeh only keeps in the fridge a couple of days. But it keeps in the free
Difficulty : easy. Precision : approximate measurements.

Weight loss hints and tips
In planning a meal plan, the most important step is to make efforts to lower your intake of fat, salt and refined carbohydrates.
Some lower carbohydrate diet guidlines:
* Use splenda instead of sugar.
Recipes that call for sugar can be changed to make use of splenda instead. It doesn't weigh the same so you will have to experiment a little and it might not be perfect for everything, but it does bake up nice in most cases.
* Use low carbohydrate chocolate bars for chocolate muffins.
If you have taken the time to convert your best loved chocolate chip cookie or chocolate muffins recipe using soya flour, you don’t want to add in those high carb chocolate chips. Break up a low carb chocolate bar into tiny chunks and use that in its place.
Foods containing lycopene
(includes apricot, papaya & tomatoes)
The chemical lypcopene is a simple coloring compound and member of the same family of phytochemicals as carotene. Lycopene is the agent responsible for the dark red colour of many foods.
Unlike most other vitamins, lycopene does not become less effective if cooked but is in actuality improved by going through the cooking process.
.
Lycoprene's main medical value is that it behaves as an antioxidant and is thought to be of use in the fight to reduce the probabilty of contracting cancer.
This useful phytochemical is the most powerful carotenoid quencher of singlet oxygen, which is correlated with skin aging. It's also thought by many researchers to hamper the progression of atherosclerosis.
