Dieting made easy

One useful tip is to drink plenty of water. From time to time at some stage in a hectic morning, you guess that you want a snack but in fact you might just need a refreshing glass of water or orange squash. The feelings of needing food and needing a drink are quite similar, but one of the two can lead to a broken diet and the other is ok.
The case against reduced carbohydrate diets
Its all the rage, but it is truly safe and healthy for you?
Most of the negative side effects observed, such as persistent tiredness, stomach upsets, or bad headaches seem to be just temporary, but critics contend that low carb diets are not without serious long term side effects.
Reducing carbs may mean missing out on necessary nutrients from healthy carbohydrate foods which should be part of any sensible diet, particularly those that we get from grains, vegetables and fruits.
Lycopene super foods

The nutrient lypcopene is a non-synthetic compound and part of the same family of phytochemicals as carotene. It is the reason for the vivid red color of a good number of foods.

Intrestingly, unlike many other nutrients, lycopene is not damaged if it is cooked, but is observably increased in efficacy by being cooked.

. Its key theraputic value is that it acts as an antioxidant and seems to be of use in the battle to lower the probabilty of developing cancer.

This useful phytochemical is the most effective quencher of singlet oxygen, which is connected with skin aging. It is also believed to slow down the growth of diseases affecting arterial blood vessels.
